Avenues of Services
At the Rotary Club of Baton Rouge, our commitment to service is channeled through five foundational Avenues of Service and seven areas of focus. These avenues reflect the object of Rotary and guide our diverse club activities, including our 35 committees. Each avenue offers unique opportunities for engagement and impact, ensuring every member can contribute in meaningful ways.
Club
This avenue includes essential activities aimed at developing a dynamic club environment that functions efficiently and successfully meets its objectives. Key among these activities is the work of the Program Committee, which enriches club meetings by curating engaging programs and selecting knowledgeable speakers to present.
Vocational
As community leaders, Rotarians are encouraged to share their skills and expertise, mentor others and foster a culture of integrity and excellence in their professional environments.
Community
Our club actively enhances the quality of life in Baton Rouge through various initiatives, from food drives and trash pickups to blood donations and supporting the homeless. We are proud to engage in significant community projects, such as constructing the Sing the River sculpture – a Centennial legacy gift to the city – demonstrating our commitment to local improvement and civic pride.
International
As a proud member of Rotary International, the Rotary Club of Baton Rouge is part of a worldwide community of 1.2 million like-minded volunteers across more than 36,000 clubs in over 200 countries and regions. Together, we are committed to addressing the most pressing humanitarian challenges of our time. Rotary International unites leaders from all continents, cultures and industries with a single vision: to foster peace and goodwill through service.
New Generation
The Rotary Club of Baton Rouge dedicates itself to empowering youth and young adults through New Generations Service, fostering leadership development and community involvement. We support a spectrum of initiatives, including the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards and collaborative service projects.

The Rotary Club dedicates its global efforts to fostering positive, lasting change across seven key areas of focus. These priorities guide our club’s humanitarian efforts, aiming to build international relationships and improve lives around the world.
